The cookies and local storage KefuAgents actually uses — strictly necessary and preference only, with no analytics or advertising trackers

We use only strictly necessary and preference cookies. We set no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no cross-site trackers, and we do not share browsing data with any ad network. That is why you do not see a cookie consent banner on this site — there is nothing here that requires consent.
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device. Related technologies
include localStorage, which stores data in your browser without sending it back
to a server automatically. Where we use localStorage, we say so below.
These are required for the site to work. They cannot be switched off without breaking sign-in.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
Session token (better-auth.session_token, and its __Secure- variant over HTTPS) | Keeps you signed in and authenticates your requests | 7 days |
Session data cache (better-auth.session_data) | Short-lived cache of your session so every page load does not re-query the database | 1 hour |
These remember a choice you made. Blocking them only resets that choice.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
NEXT_LOCALE | Remembers whether you are reading the site in English or Chinese | 1 year |
sidebar_state | Remembers whether the dashboard sidebar is expanded or collapsed | 7 days |
When bot protection is enabled, the sign-up and sign-in pages load Cloudflare
Turnstile, which may set its own cookies (such as __cf_bm) to distinguish a
person from an automated script. This protects registration credits from being
drained by bots. Cloudflare processes the challenge and your IP address for that
purpose. See
Cloudflare's privacy policy.
If we ever enable web analytics, we will update this policy before doing so and choose a tool that does not build cross-site profiles.
If you are a shopper who met our chat widget on a merchant's store: the
widget sets no cookies. It stores a randomly generated visitor ID in your
browser's localStorage (under a key beginning kefu_chat_visitor_) purely so
that if you come back within about 24 hours, your conversation can continue where
it left off. The ID is specific to that one store and that one browser, and is
never used for advertising or shared with ad networks. Clearing your browser's
site data removes it.
If you are a merchant installing the widget, note that this storage happens on your own domain and you should mention it in your own cookie or privacy notice.
Most browsers let you delete cookies, block them, or be notified when one is set.
You can also clear localStorage through your browser's site-data settings.
Because the cookies we set are strictly necessary or preference cookies, blocking
them means you will not be able to stay signed in, and your language and layout
choices will not be remembered.

We will update this policy if the cookies we use change, and the "last updated" date above will change with it.
